Okay, I've reached the end of this painting, the beginning of the end, and not yet the end of myself, fortunately.
I have approximately 380 ± 2 squares remaining.
Yes, I'm counting.
Notwithstanding, I have to photograph this painting, execute an algorithm across the surface, and proceed with the final painting (of this series), which is planned to contain 13,689 squares (117 squared), which will take me about a year to finish (or two lol).
Those are my optimistic plans. It feels weird to have my whole life planned out, plus or minus a year.
There are one or two interim paintings that will take a month or so, each.
One thing I know about how this painting is going to appear: It will appear predominantly as a stitch in a textile, in one perspective, and that is absolutely fine with me.
I think it is very interesting how a stitch and a repeated mark, or a hash, are equivalent in some basis. And this is being used in a presentation of color, from an image in nature, as a still life, in an abstract painting.
JK, I can just keep making stuff up.
Seriously, though, this painting is just the generator for the next painting, which is planned to be the same height as the previous 10,179 square painting (87 W x 117 H squares), but is planned to 177 squares wide, as well — that is square, and a full year of you putting up with this, if I'm lucky.
TIA
