there needs to be some new international order to take control of things like social media laws. some group not tied to America so we won't end up with another failed Wikipedia experiment and Facebook debacle. Their needs to be a non-CIA spook centered media and government.no country can work as anything close to a democracy unless we remove the bad actors or at least stop funding them. #CIA #Spooks #Socialmedia #Wikipedia
I've been watching the old BBC spy series Spooks ("MI-5" internationally). It has that terrible 2000s cinematography aesthetic where they decided all of the color went out of the world, and everything is either grey or sepia.

"X also abused and threatened to kill another former female partner and her child, and he then used the woman’s name as a form of cover while working for MI5. He also threatened to kill and sexually abuse young girls and written down his cannibal fantasies about eating children."

Thank you, @pbs #PBS - I've never before understood why the CIA, America's secret service, are so rigidly right-wing. 'From World War to Cold War, 1945-54' finally explained it. When, after WWII, the Allies held West Germany and the Russians East Germany, the US wanted Russian-speaking spies. Where to get them? Hardly any westerners spoke Russian. Except… ex-Nazis. "Ex"-Nazis. So that's who the first staff of America's Central Intelligence Agency were

Some months ago i discovered that all #Spooks series are available on #SBSOnDemand. A few nights ago i began streaming it, my first time since it was broadcast in Straya in the early Oughties. OMZ!
I'm so looking forward to re-meeting all the other future regulars.
No, i don't get out much...
They killed a Nicola Walker character again. How could they again not have her have a happy life after the service?
Crying over Ruth and Cassie.
Or it could be Cassie Stuart from #Unforgotten
Just pretend she's not living with her Dad but Harry
Just finished #BeingHuman S3E5, The Longest Day ... the one to which i alluded in https://infosec.exchange/@MsDropbear425/111401874394767847. OMZ i love watching #NicolaWalker! She absolutely owns every role she's in.
It amuses me retrospectively. When i saw BH the first time, oh so long ago now, the only other thing i'd seen NW in at that stage was the incomparable #Spooks. Hence it was surreal for me to then take in her wonderfully bumbling harried social worker Wendy, & not get constantly distracted at the severe juxtaposition with her utterly competent professional Ruth.
Now though, this time around, rewatching this episode & all BH before it, she's so much more to behold & consider. She's Ruth, Wendy, Cassie, Gillian, Jackie "Stevie", Hannah, & Annika. She's so much those roles, yet always, she still manages to inject a sense of whimsy, hesitancy, & quirk that's distinctly NW; the body mannerisms, the facial tics, the mouth creases with that amazing nervous half-smile she does. I've no idea what she's like IRL, but from all these roles, with these commonalities, i rather suspect it'd feel pretty much like we see on tele.
Da zerreißt einem ja das Herz
