Is it alright to completely uninstall system apps and substitute them with open source apps? I just did that to my Samsung Galaxy. Most of them are Fossify apps btw and so far I decided to keep Device Care, Digital Wellbeing and Settings.

@ni_alen boas tardes, vagalume. Ata hai ben pouco tiña varias instaladas dende #F-Droid, no meu Xiaomi, gallery e contacts. Pero agora instalei a #LineageOS e xa non as necesito a non ser #Fossify Gallery. É moi completa e organiza as galerias por carpeta e permiteche cambiar os nomes dos arquivos, o que me é de moita utilidade e cousa que ha galeria de #LineageOS monpermote facer. Polo demais non tiven ningún problema con estas apps. Totalmente de fiar.
I hate AM/PM time format so much. It's so endlessly inferior, prone to confusion, and just adds more buttons to the user interface.
Yet my #NextCloud web interface won't allow me to change to 24H format for my calendar 
At least this isn't a problem on my phone where I got #Fossify Calendar, which is pretty good and customizable
EN - I found Fossify, a open sourse software company that has apps like: messages, calls, calendar, keyboard, file management, gallery and even a launcher! I recommend it!

Hab mich jetzt mal bei den Fossify Apps umgesehen - fossify.org/apps/ - und direkt die von LineageOS mitgebrachten Apps für Telefonate, Kontakte und SMS durch die Varianten von Fossify ersetzt. Ein paar nützliche Optionen mehr an Bord, ohne deswegen im funktionalen Overkill zu enden, und ein netteres Erscheinungsbild gibt's noch dazu.
Der Kalender könnte evtl. durchaus den bisher verwendeten aCalendar ersetzen, die Apps für Kamera, Dateimanager und Galerie muss ich mir erst noch genauer anschauen.
Aber so als Zwischenfazit: Ein Blick darauf lohnt.

Dank für eure Tipps. Den #GoogleCalendar konnte ich durch #Fossify Calendar ersetzen und habe bei der Gelegenheit auch noch Fossify Contacts installiert.

Ich bin mit #ente.io als Google Fotos-Ersatz sehr zufrieden.
Als Kalender nutze ich #FOSSIFY , den ich auch per DAVx⁵ mit meiner Nextxloud synchronisiere.
I was a bit slow on this one, but I finally disabled Google Maps on my phone! I've been using Organic Maps (https://organicmaps.app/) for a little while now and I've had a great experience. I just have two issues:
1) Unless I download Organic Maps from the Google Play Store, I can't use it with Android Auto when I'm in a car. I want to disconnect from Google, so this is not ideal.
2) It seems like @organicmaps is the official Mastodon account, but they don't have their website verified.
It only took a few minutes to copy the places I had saved on Google Maps into a note in #Fossify Notes (https://www.fossify.org/). As usual, I'm finding that plain text notes are exactly what I need and give me a better experience than these bloated corporate apps.

Sehe gerade: Der #FossifyCalender kann auch lokale Kalendereinträge machen, dafür braucht man nicht unbedingt einen Kalender-Server.

Die #Fossify-Kalender-App funktioniert super mit #MailboxOrg und #Nextcloud.
Antes he compartido un link a la web de #SimpleMobileTools con apps sencillas para Android sin publicidad y sin permisos innecesarios (Calendario, Contactos, Archivos, Galería y Mensajes)
Lo he borrado y comparto el link a #Fossify, que es un fork de esas apps y que es mejor porque 1) Simple Mobile Tools tenía vinculación con Israel y 2) Las apps ya no tienen actualizaciones, y las de Fossify sí.

I tried a couple of replacement app launchers on my #Android phone, like #Fossify #Launcher https://www.fossify.org from F-Droid.
But I have a problem: a few times a day, the home screen will freeze up! I have to force stop the launcher app to get it working again (which is tricky because I can't use the launcher to do it).
Doesn't happen with the stock Pixel Launcher, only third-party launchers.
Anybody got any ideas how to fix this?

io uso l'app calendario di #Fossify e mi trovo molto bene, sennonché vorrei tanto potere fare backup automatici su Nextcloud anziché in locale, ora se perdo il telefono perdo l'agenda
