Arrived at #PrestonBrook yesterday and promptly #smashed the #car while reversing into the balustrade on the #canal bridge. (pictures later)

But its good to see the reflection of the canal on the #cottage #ceiling.

This little bird came to sit with us in the rain at the Hedges Hotel in Northern Ireland. I recently lost my dad and he used to love and care for birds (he had so many finches as pets). My friend softly said, “maybe it’s your dad that wanted to come sit with us for a while.” I choked back tears. I like to think that it was.

Yesterday we packed the car again and set off with another load of #furniture, only some of it #flatpack, and other supplies to make the #cottage in #PrestonBrook habitable.

Guess who got in #trouble when unloading the car at our destination? My #excuse is there's 30 yards of muddy #towpath to walk along to reach the cottage.

‘Ty Hir’, a monotype print of a ruined Welsh longhouse. The print is made from a drawing I did last year and was pressed by laying down ink on a glass plate and pressing the drawing to Zerkall paper using pencils. It’s a one-off. The paper measures 53 x 38 cm, and the area that has taken up ink is 44 x 29 cm. A large work by my standards.
