@johncormier @CTVNews Andy Petersen’s Grade 10 son didn’t go. “They’re all disappointed. They had ramped up the number of rehearsals & were literally a foot out the door & the district & superintendent, slammed the door on them. It would be nice if the superintendent had, I guess I’ll say the courage, to talk to them & explain the decision making process.” Mr. Peterson was apparently unable to get his grade 10 son to understand so #CTV commiserated with him. #ICE concerns? Meh.

This is absolutely wild, a massive & total failure by #CTV.

The fact that #RachelGilmore is incessantly targeted & harassed by right-wing, Poilievre supporting agitators & trolls *is* part of the election. The attacks on journalists, the misinformation, disinformation, threats & silencing is *in of itself* an important part of the news of the #election happening in #Canada right now & CTV, instead of reporting on it, has decided to duck for cover. #shame

The 2025 National Trade Estimate Report on Foreign Trade Barriers, published last month, highlights “significant foreign barriers to U.S. exports, U.S. foreign direct investment, and U.S. electronic #commerce.”

#CTV just proved they care more about appeasing bullies than telling the truth. They cancelled a fact-checking segment after pressure from Poilievre’s Conservatives. So much for journalistic integrity.
If facts make you uncomfortable, CTV will now just... stop reporting them?

#StefanMarquis — who was running for the Conservatives in the #Montreal riding of #LaurierSainteMarie, held by #Liberal cabinet minister #StevenGuilbeault since 2019 — wrote in a post on #SocialMedia that he is no longer a candidate for the party.
