Oh hey, its @knizer again - Every weekend I scour a bunch of sources and put together a list of interesting #Boston area events. I live in #Somerville #Massachusetts, but include anything that looks incredible in #NewEngland thats worth the trip.

I tag my thread with #BostonWeekend - if there's an exciting event on your radar, let me know - there's always so much to do, I'm just one human curating this as a passion project. I do this to help build #community here on the #fediverse, no ads, no donations, no bribes to get something listed - I'm going to keep doing this til I burn out (its a couple hours of committed focus every week).

Google DocsAllston-Brighton Community Bike RideJoin the Allston Brighton Health Collaborative, City of Boston, and Bluebikes (Lyft) for a 3.5-mile Bluebikes-only community bike ride on Sunday, April 13 at 11:00am. The route and pace are beginner friendly, particularly for folks new to biking and/or new to Bluebike-ing. We'll spend a good amount of time in the beginning going over how to use the Bluebikes and get you comfortable using them in safe environment before venturing out to the neighborhood. We will meet at the Herter Park Bluebikes station. Free Bluebikes coupons will be provided. The ride is expected to take around one hour and will end at Herter Park. Pizza will be provided after the ride. Free bike helmets are also available upon request. Detailed route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50144638 You must register to participate.
