This morning’s visit out back was a check on the #alpaca & #lambs water supply.

I did take some crushed lupins & sliced carrots with me as well.

Pics of all but the carrots - the alpacas make it hard to get a free hand for pics when there are lots of carrots to be had.

Chaser giving me the up close & personal hairy eye ball - ears back - but he was so close because he had spotted the carrots I had and wanted them - NOW!
The alpacas are watching the troughs refill with fresh water while the lambs just want to eat the crushed lupins.
Twins. The lambs do tend to stick side by side even when eating lupins. Lucerne though, they tend to have their own chosen brick.
The alpacas have finished their carrots and are hoovering up leftover crushed lupins.

First post here on PixelFed and just throwing a picture of my latest dyeing adventure out there: alpaca! It’s sooo soft and - contrary to what I learned from others - it takes dye VERY well. I nearly had to wear sunglasses when I checked out the yarn after dyeing because the colour was so bright. 32° Celsius here this evening. Still no rain but the clouds might get to us.

In any event, my better half just gave our #Roselle & #JerusalemArtichoke a good soak while I went out back & topped up the #alpaca & #lamb water troughs.

Strangely, I came back from the trough watering with blood streaming from my right wrist.

I have no idea how I managed to damage myself.
