What I fear about Trump’s 104% tariffs on #China is that President Xi will consider it an act of war. He will direct his forces to use cyberattacks against US interests. Money, energy, infrastructure, etc…

I don’t think they’d start a kinetic war unless Trump keeps bullying them.

#Trump doesn’t understand the concept of losing face. #Xi can’t look weak to the people of China. He’s forced to escalate to save face.

Trump will double & triple down on everything.

Es sind alles Männer, die die Verfassungen ihrer Länder aktiv Verändern, um ihre (mehr oder weniger) "begrenzte" Macht zu erweitern. Das erschreckende ist, das es mittlerweile keinen Unterschied mehr macht, aus welchem Lager, also ob West, Ost, Blockfrei, Erste Welt, Zweite Welt, Dritte Welt oder irgendeine andere Klassifizierung vorliegt. Das Ziel ist bei allen gleich: Unbegrenzte Macht.

A de facto "critical-minerals embargo" being imposed by #China on the #US was to be expected.
In fact, it is somewhat surprising that President #Xi did not implement it sooner, after the #US cut off high-end GPUs for #China, which are critical for the #AI race.
