Hey #EldenRing friends, what do you do after the game? I did 3 runs on console and 2 on PC incl. one playthrough on #ShadowOfTheErdtree. I'm itching to start another NG+ with all the new weapons and armor and talismans etc. At the same time, I probably want to rest the game a bit. Let me know what you do. Also what you think about the DLC, its lore and its bosses.

YESSSSS !!!! Beaten #ShadowOfTheErdtree and Consort Radahn. Had a blast with this DLC to #EldenRing. However... I have mixed feelings about it. Great music and vibes, confusing map, lore and sidequests.

I've been working through #EldenRing #ShadowOfTheErdtree trying to nerf myself to keep the bosses challenging. So far I've actually managed to do almost the whole thing with 0 Scadutree fragments.
I've been intending to upgrade when I hit a wall, but I've managed to get much further than expected.
The two bosses I'm currently stuck on:
#Metyr one shots me too much such that I'd have to do it practically hitless and I just don't want to do that.
#Bayle actually doesn't do that much damage, but he has a lot of health and once my buffs run out the fight SLOOOOWS down. Debating pushing through that one just cause I like Bayle.
Other than that, the only two bosses left are #Romina and #Radahn. I can't imagine I'll get through Radahn without some amount of upgrading, but I've gotten far enough that I'm wondering if I can actually see it to the end. We'll see if I have the patience for it.

Imagine a publisher cancelling a new game just to finance a DLC for their most popular game.
What if Sony decided to cancel #Infamous3 to make a #DLC for #AstroBot and snatch the GOTY next year?

I really hope #GeoffKeighley amends the DLC nominations next year.
Imagine a studio working hard to make an incredible, innovative game that becomes a source of inspiration for years to come... just to lose the #GOTY to a second DLC of #EldenRing.
Unfair.
Don't get me wrong, #ShadowOfTheErdtree is probably one of the best DLC of the year.
The amount of dedication put to extend the game is admirable, and should be an example for other studios who want to do the same. Much like #Cyberpunk2077 #PhantomLibery did previously.
But should never, ever be #GOTY, not even nominated for.
Should videogame #DLC be elegible for #GOTY? No.
DLC should have their own category, "Best DLC", or even shove it as "Best Ongoing Game". That dedication should be rewarded, but accordingly.
This precedent heavily belittles the risk studios take for delivering new experiences, and promotes safer, stagnant, less innovative content.
I'll die on that hill.
