My wife found a #MySpace China t-shirt from when I worked at MySpace and we launched in China.

I don't remember what it says on the back, so please reply if you know 🙏🏻

This is what lens scans:
反你友我

Which they translate as:
Anti-You Friends Me

LOL 😂

You know, when things like #myspace and #facebook started popping up, I was smart enough at about 13 years old to think "Hey, I bet you this is gonna get used to manipulate people politically in my lifetime," and usually got ignored by folks older than me as some kind of kid-like conspiracy.

Nobody took the idea seriously until it happened.

It's likely the most dangerous #tech that exists in the world. Maybe more so than nukes.

I was smarter at 13 than most Americans.

I was active in my local music scene in the late 2000’s and early 2010’s. I’m trying to recover music from local bands I used to listen to and finding if they’re available anywhere online- and a lot of music isn’t. It’s sad to know how much media might be lost forever.

If anyone can suggest how I can recover some bands music or where to search I’d be grateful! #music #opensource #myspace #archive #data

It looks like you need a smartphone to use Hudd so those who currently access FB using a computer will not be able to use Hudd (in that way). So Hudd, in that sense cannot be seen as a replacement for FB.

It does not appear to be federated like Mastodon nor inter-operable with other social networks. In order to succeed it will need to become "the new FaceBook" displacing FB from its market position like FB did to MySpace. Even if only within Norway.

Aww man. By the time #MySpace came around, I already had social network fatigue. #Sixdegrees, #Uboot, #FriendsReunited, High 5 (?) and my old sixth form friend pressuring me to sign up to #Friendster so I could connect with her uni mates (????)... after that I was done with social network sites and didn't care when MySpace came around. I probably would have liked it though, and had the most garish profile page.
