went out yesterday to *music work* in local queer-friendly bar, safer place, in some heels, makeup, black nailpolish, glittery leggings, and a skirt, felt good about myself, excited, it's an effort, it's fight with shame, scraping for confidence, as a gender non-conforming transfeminine that surely can't pass so it's genderqueer and weird, but somehow, nobody seemed to give a damn, it's like no one cares and i know it's not so much about validation from others or at least it shouldn't be, but to be honest, it is. so, i'm tired of it all, it's energy consuming, feet hurt and all, but at the same time happy. i'm happy that i move forward towards more public appearances in more transfemme attire but i'm sad and lonely and alone because i'm missing connection, missing witnessing and being a witness. i try/tried to connect with local trans groups but i have yet to find a good friend that i would click with (and it wouldn't appear someone who would endanger my long-term partner). someone not into superficial drag race shit, someone not completely into transitioning as a final goal (as i think that's not what i desire), someone not creepy or cringy (in solely sexual sissy masculinity-demeaning kind of way), but some people who are read and intelligent, and calm, and not interested in surface-level masquerading or being extremely extrovert trans, but with some sensitivity, and good listening skills, someone who would quote from butler and haraway and braidotti #trans #nonBinary #genderQueer #genderNonConforming
