Before I would ask the French #Gendarmerie to change their Linux distribution, I would ask all other policy and law inforcement forces to adopt free software.
As far as I know, the Gendarmerie still uses #GendBuntu and I consider it the possibly largest success story of Linux in the EU public sector.
