During our month of downtime, Nova (my medic) is hanging out with Bulwark (our military dude) and learning about space-cow ranching (and related medicinal research for their milk's antibacterial properties and such).
Fair warning, our #AlienRPG session starts in about 15 minutes (7PM CDT).
I'm honestly not sure what will happen tonight. There was an utterly unexpected turn at the end of the last session, two weeks ago, and . . . I don't know. My medic might just crawl into her cryo tube and stay there if things don't resolve soon.
It won't hurt anyone if she does. It's very much a one-character issue. And she's not the one.

Gestern einen tollen Rollenspielabend gehabt. Hab mit Justin von "Natürliche 1", sowie Sebastian, Daniel und Meister Henni alle aus dem Umfeld von den @DieSchwafelhelden , #alienrpg gespielt.
Gemeinsam haben wir uns ins All und an das Regelwerk gewagt. Bis jetzt gibt es noch keine Toten zu beklagen, aber bisher ist es ja auch nur ein Routinejob mit einer plötzlichen Abweichung...

On Saturday, we started Chariot of the Gods, the adventure bundled with the #AlienRPG starter set.
The rules have some very good features that are well suited to Alien games, and the adventure is very well written. We only played through Act 1, but it was a lot of fun. The game had the *feel* of an Alien film.
So, die nächsten Wochenenden sind gesetzt für #MutantJahrNull. Die Gruppe hat sich in das Setting eingefunden. #AlienRPG auf der Warteliste. Leider haben wir trotz tollem Setting nicht den Weg in #Coriolis gefunden. Als intermittierender Dauerbrenner fungiert #Mythosworld und ich will unbedingt nochmal #dcc versuchen. Vielleicht überlebt diesmal jemand den Trichter.

Finally got my role playing group back to playing #AlienRPG and I'd forgotten just how much fun it was. 2 days of solid prep work but it pays off when you have people exploring a world and making mad decisions you'd never anticipated

A dying oligarch has expended billions to prolong his life. But the procedures and technologies are no longer sufficient to extend it further.
Having heard of "the perfect organism", he commissions the group to capture one such specimen, so that it can be studied, its DNA potentially revealing the secret to everlasting life.
Regardless of how unstable, unpredictable or risky that "cure for death" might be, the oligarch will take it in order to attain immortality.
A drop-ship leaves the group on the snow-covered surface of an ice planet, plagued by strong winds. The group's goal is to bring supplies to a research station a few kilometres away.
When they arrive there, they find the station obliterated. With sparse resources, in an unforgiving climate, they must make their way to the next outpost before they freeze to death.
On their way, they notice suggestions of moving shapes in the distance that seem to be following them.
#GameNight #AlienRPG We're exploring an Engineer base and found a room containing lots of eggs, a couple of drones, and a queen. We're now trying to keep the door closed to keep them in the room.
As part of TTRPG prep for Alien RPG, I've started listening to Alien audiobooks during my walks.
The one I'm currently listening to, is "The complete Aliens collection – Living Nightmares", (that contains "Aliens: Infiltrator", "Aliens: Phalanx", and "Aliens: Vasquez") and clocks in at a whooping 35.5 hours.
