Que se cache-t-il derrière ce titre un brin accrocheur ? Sommes-nous encore confrontés à la vision excentrique d’un critique perdu dans ses illusions d’une histoire à sens unique ou, au contraire, se retrouve-t-on devant une réalité dont l’existence même risquerait de perturber nos acquis bien vissés sur place ?
>« L’art imaginaire créé par le fondateur du lettrisme, Isidore Isou, est très certainement une des révolutions artistiques les plus importantes du XXe siècle. Gardez cela à l’esprit : cet art préfigure le visage de l’art contemporain actuel. Cela étant dit, comme toute certitude mérite une argumentation nous allons prouver, en partant d’une logique implacable et à partir de cas concrets, que cette idée, cette esthétique, est de loin une des notions les plus capitales de l’art survenues après-guerre. »
