As I was in need of a good action game, I've been playing #SpiderMan2 on the #PlayStation5, and that game is very in love with #NewYorkCity.

And I would love to visit NYC if it wasn't in a country that is on my personal no-travel list, but so many things the characters in the game call unique to NYC are just things that cities that aren't a bunch of parking lots connected by stroads have.

Things they have called "only in NY":

  • People playing music outside.
  • People playing chess outside.
  • People having parties outside.
  • People having pop up clubs.

Now, there's a lot of cool missions that do show things that are unique and cool about NYC, I especially liked having to save Charlie Parker's saxophone, and looking at the Harlem music museum.

As an adopted Berliner and ex-Amsterdammer, I totally understand loving ones city, but the rest of y'all need some third spaces.
