I used to love reading Slashdot on April Fools day for the pink pony theme and the hilarious articles. Seems pretty quaint now.

Does anyone know why the @slashdot account hasn’t posted anything since February 2025-02-20 ?
Not getting all replies to toots. I have come to realize that it's not an entirely binary concern. Sure it annoys me knowing there are probably more replies to a toot. But, on the other hand many times it's just an echo chamber and polarizing comments. For or against, everyone is angry.
Imagine instead if we could merge what slashdot introduced many, many years ago. Upvoting comments. Given that choice I would enable it, and filter comment threads.
