after the failed attempt at planting mango seeds during the darkest part of the year, it is running another attempt at germinating them. due to spring and a relocation to sunnier apartment it has higher hopes for these little packets of life.
they have been in a wet paper towel for 10 days now, and they are starting to grow little roots and sprouts. a strange occurence is that due to the moisture the seeds started to swell up and split into two halves. this is especially visible on the second picture. that seed is completely split, only connected by the root at the bottom.

Garlic cress (Peltaria alliacea) is like a more refined version of its sister species Garlic mustard (Alliaria petiolata). It is also reliably perennial and -which is rare for Brassicacea plant - spreads through rhizomes. I think it's a winner. Surprisingly, you almost can't find it on the market. And the few that sell it basically sell the same clone - so it won't set seed. After some years of working on this I finally did it and now have plants that set seed.
