This sets the majority up for failure as it's #misleading.
In numbers not %, of the 1,740 #participants, 255 (rounded) went into #remission. Whilst that's useful it needs to be presented #honestly because 1,485 didn't go into remission. Telling #patients it worked for a third of people when it didn't (795 gave up) may lead to a feeling a #failure which is really unhelpful in so many ways. How #data is presented matters.

#health update: i did an mri scan in the first week of the year and saw my doctor last thursday. basically the bad cells are no longer visible, meaning i’m technically in… #CR, #completeremission. the focus now will be my health in the next three years. when i heard him telling me this i actually got a #happy feeling, although the result is within my expectation. i guess however specific the term is defined, i am a #cancersurvivor now. #recovery #remission #cancersurvivorship #cancer

in recent news: a day before my birthday I was told that I’m finally in #cancer #remission!! So now we are just going to do six months of maintenance immunotherapy to try to prevent future relapses. Still cannot quite believe it because a) anxiety persists, b) haven’t had a PET scan since August, c) is been 1.5 years of nonstop battle...
