I just saw #Mickey17, which was an objectively amazing film, and giving some thought to why it hasn't done well at the box office.

Well, I'm here to posit that an absurdist and surreal dystopian piece of speculative fiction shouldn't feel somehow like a fucking documentary.

You could watch Mickey17 or you could just turn on the fucking news.

This is why they say that satire is dead.
