In case anyone was wondering what I've been doing the past few months, well, I tried the litrpg genre for the first time back in January. Then poof, 3 months had past. Here are some tips if anyone's interested, with highlights curated for fedi:
Wolf of the Blood Moon by Shane Purdy
Wolfgirl. Only first book in audio, more on the way. MC seems aro/ace, possibly autistic?
Fallen Lands by C Peinhopf
Foxgirl/kitsune. MC is a teenager, very little romance, no sexy stuff.
Talyn's Saga by Benjamin Medrano
Succubus. Poly-lesbian. Mostly off-screen or fade-to-black sexy stuff, despite being kinda horny.
Beneath the Dragoneye Moons by Selkie Myth
Healer who made an unbreakable oath to "do no harm" essentially when she was 8, in a very violent world (with dinosaurs!) I think she's revealed to be gay in later books. (She's like 8-15 in the first couple of books.)

#LitRPG Ich lese seit Michael Atamanovs „Kräutersammler der Finsternis“ dieses Genre. War meine erste Reihe und eine der ersten auf deutsch. Hat mich sofort gepackt. Ich kann quasi zocken ohne zu zocken. Mein eigener Roman wird im gleichen Genre spielen. Fantasy ist der Schwerpunkt, allerdings wird es auch Scifi-Elemente geben. Morning Folks! This morning I talked a bit about wrapping up the #DungeonCrawlerCarl series of books this weekend and why I fell in love with the cast of characters. Additionally why #LitRPG might not be my genre after diving into #KaijuBattlefieldSurgeon.
I am a RPG gamer and SciFi and fantasy reader. Recently a friend introduced me to LitRPG, a genre that combines the conventions of computer RPGs with science-fiction and fantasy novels.
I started reading "Dungeon Crawler Carl" and I have to admit, I am totally flashed.
Pretty typical #LitRPG#fantasy but the numbers are not intrusive and can be just skipped if that's not your thing. I've liked Tullbane's other books, and this is not an exception; it's well written. First in a series, and I preordered the next book. 4/5 stars.
