A groundbreaking new theory may finally crack the code Einstein spent decades searching for—a unified field theory! Scientists have proposed a geometric model linking electromagnetism and Einstein’s dream, potentially reshaping our understanding of the universe. Science continues to push boundaries, fulfilling century-old dreams.

Electromagnetism as a purely geometric theory

"This research article derives a nonlinear generalization of Maxwell's equations from a variational approach, when the action measures the variability of the metric tensor. The proper space is a Weyl space, where the covariant derivative of the metric tensor does not need to vanish. The Lorentz force law is derived from the same metrics as a geodesic equation."

This was posted by DIY PERKS on TikTok vt.tiktok.com/ZSrX1j5AF/ and is a pretty cool use of existing knowledge & understanding. I especially like how this utilises nothing that goes beyond an HS education. Brilliance is the marriage of seemingly disjoint concepts to something new. Also demos the diffs between #innovation & #discovery. They discovered the interaction of #sound & lightening, then invented #tech to manage it

💡 Geeksta Weekly Fact Drop 💡

Before the world knew Faraday and Maxwell, Joseph Henry was already exploring electromagnetism. He pioneered electromagnetic induction (though Faraday published it first) and built some of the earliest powerful electromagnets.

His work laid the foundation for the telegraph and modern electronics. In fact, the SI unit of inductance is named henry (H) in his honor.

⚡ Without Henry, electricity as we know it wouldn’t be the same. Did you know about him?

Called it! I knew it was length contraction. Feeling not so stupid today! 😆🙃

I always wondered why a moving charge would induce a magnetic charge. It seems that the phenomena can be explained by just Coulomb's law and special relativity instead.
