A constitutional amendment giving people the right to vote goes a long way to preventing #scotus from further eroding our rights. Maybe it’s hard to accomplish nationally at the present with all the hyperpartisanship but we can start to work on it at the state level.

I'm confused. For the ERA to become part of the US Constitution:
- Congress needs to recognize its (already achieved?) ratification?
- Biden needs to direct the National Archivist to publish it?
- Biden needs to ratify the Amendment in some other way, possibly involving a big rubber stamp that lives in a drawer of the Resolute Desk & reads "RATIFIED"?

One wonders if even THIS #SCotUS would be okay with #deporting American citizens?

When asked about the 14th Amendment ("birthright citizenship" making U.S. born slaves citizens), he suggested it "might have to be fixed".

You can't "edit" a #ConstitutionalAmendment. Prohibition (ironically, the "18th" Amendment) required passage of the (again ironically) "21st" Amendment to reverse it.

Likewise, we'd have to pass a 28th Amendment to repeal #BirthrightCitizenship. #PartyOfLincoln

It's stunning to me how the same people who DEMAND Democratic presidents "Read the Constitution" and pledge to fight to defend it, know so little about it, have no idea how it works, are the first to threaten to rewrite it once they get into power.
