I don't buy that #socdems are this naive.
I think they have too much invested in the current system & simply don't want a #revolution.

Why should I have contrition when I have no power?
If anything, my reservations about the Democratic Party have been bore out by their, at best, general inaction or, at worst, complete abetting of this administration’s actions.
The accurate observation that the #Dem faction & the #GOP faction of #capital aren't literally identical doesn't mean that #workers should start doing lesser-evilism & supporting the "good cop" of #capitalist #imperialism. The #Dems are different, but they ultimately support the GOP.

Democrats and Republicans agree on most of the fundamental points, which make capital stronger and workers more disempowered. They mainly disagree on tactics and strategy.
To this day, the #GreenParty are doing more for working class political consciousness than #Dems ever will. They keep shoveling shit for #capital.
#JillStein isn't on #Mastodon or #Bluesky, but on #Twitter, she continues to do more for raising political consciousness than all the #Democrats combined.
Real question: if it's been established that #KilmarAbregoGarcia was wrongfully sent to #ElSalvador and needs to be brought back, why didn't he go back with #VanHollen? What is the missing piece?
Shouldn't the #Dems at least have a statement on this?
