Starting to realize that info dumping is part of my love language.
I'm like "Hey, look at these fascinating things I learned/ read about, aren't they shiny? And cool? I think you are a cool person and you might enjoy these!"
If I do this to someone, it's a sign of trust that they won't make fun of me. (I'v been bullied for it as a kid).
I don't know whether I am neurodivergent in some way, but people misread this a lot.
@TarkabarkaHolgy me amd my brother do this to each, he's autistic and I'm adhd. Sometimes I've had even friends make fun of it :(

I can't always *respond*, but I really enjoy listening. I'll take in what you say, then go away somewhere quiet and think about it for hours (or *days*) ....
I also love putting all the bits together - your fairy tale about hedgehogs, someone else's colloquial expression about them, a biologist's explanation of their anatomy, some bit of trivia, etc. - you become such a good part of all that. 
@TarkabarkaHolgy I think of this inclination as happily sharing the awe I derive from the universe.

Wow, apparently I found my people.
My whole life the thing people find most annoying about me is that all I do is collect data, reformat it and tell someone what I thought was cool about it but with their interests in mind. I find a hook I think they will like and present it that way.
But yeah, it's based on what I'm obsessed with in the moment.
Dnd, Star Wars, Monarch... whatever I'm into that moment.

The weird thing is I'm an old white guy so a lot of the time, especially with my wife, it's confused with mansplaining.
No, I'm aware you know how this works, but I just got new information and I'd like to discuss it.
I'm not explaining it to you, I'm telling you what I think is cool about it because discussing it out loud helps me process it.
I also have an auditory learning disability and talking stuff out and hearing my own voice locks it in.

Yeah I did that a lot as a kid. I think most people found it annoying
