@Garwboy Reminiscent of John "Wonko the Sane" Watson in So Long and Thanks for all the Fish - the instructions on the packet of toothpicks being what drove him to conclude the world was insane and beyond saving.
@Garwboy Plenty of warnings along the lines of ‘do not pour water into the electrical equipment, even if it is warm’.
As you say, it makes one wonder if that was added after an unintentionally hilarious tragedy, or after a burst of micromanagement.
I have an awful feeling you could compile an entire book of these.
