*I finally managed a picture of a black-billed magpie (corvid). There are a lot of them locally, but they’re more skittish than crows.
Groceries & a walk this morning, then I’ll dive into another chapter. This novel edit is winding down, my next project on the horizon.

I was insanely productive yesterday. Rather than question it, I rolled with it.
Drafting creates a story that exists in the clouds. Dramatic, perhaps, but not always clear. Editing brings clarity, delivering a gentle breeze & a blue sky.

I feel like I have no confidence in the story I'm #writing anymore. The idea and concept of it is good, but the execution and my abilities to tell the #story are lacking. Another story written that's going into a pile of good but not good enough for what I want. #amwriting #writinglife

This one is about war. War in a faraway, fantasy place. But war nonetheless.

I use spreadsheets to help me revise. After I finish the first draft, I transfer important events onto the spreadsheet, and then I can see where the holes are and what needs to be developed more.

I swore I’d finish editing Book3 this month & am on track to do so, with days to spare.
It’s typical spring, where the weather each day bears no resemblance to the one before.
I’m trying to walk earlier each morning in anticipation of summer. Our nights are still below freezing.
