If it's really deep snow and conditions are difficult, we take very short turns. This way, you can preserve your energy, focus on your well-being, and avoid frostbite or other injuries.<br>

A canyon like this one is a huge contrast with the world outside — the intense, harsh desert light gives way to soft, gentle light and shade. The temperature drops. The color of the ight changes, too. Deep in the canyon it often shifts to ward blue, especially when the canyon walls are black or gray. Christopher CooksonNot content to just photograph a lake that's so remote that fewer than 50 people ever get to visit it each year, I actually got in the lake with a waterproof camera, and photographed it with the camera partially submerged (and me in up to the neck to avoid being eaten alive by sandflies).<br>

A lone hut sits quietly along the Kungsleden trail, dwarfed by the towering mountains of northern Sweden. Stretching over 400 km, Kungsleden is one of Scandinavia’s most famous long-distance hikes, with the final section near Abisko offering views of alpine tundra and dramatic peaks.<br>
