You may lose follows and followers when you block a domain or when your moderators decide to suspend a remote server. When that happens, you will be able to download lists of severed relationships, to be inspected and possibly imported on another server.
Наконец-то сам Mastodon предоставил хоть какой-то инструмент борьбы с последствиями действий бесноватых модераторов.
Следующий шаг - сообщать пользователю в уведомлениях, что в связи с действиями администрации связь с XXX нарушена и предлагать сменить сервер для восстановления.
Это, как и указание налога на чеке с товаром, могло бы несколько повысить осознанность пользователей.

Fun fact: when Sergei Rachmaninoff set this painting to music in his "Isle of the Dead" he was inspired by the black-and-white version. When he finally saw the color version he was much less impressed.

I had to think about it again
how crazy the world seems to me
and how not a day goes by
that I don't have to ask myself inevitably
where it will all end
Then I thought of one of my poems
Written long before these crazy days
This poem is a poem of sadness and despair
but also of resistance
Hand in hand
against storms and immense forces

Возможно, вы грустите из-за того, что lor.sh закрывается.
Но вообще, у этого есть и плюсы.
Например, некоторые его обитатели побежали искать себе варианты для селфхоста. Естественно, как это обычно бывает, незамутнённый взгляд под непривычным углом быстро находит проблемы.
Поэтому, например, @rayslava вон скоро будет чинить плагин для Emacs под Mitra, а мы с @iliazeus уже нашли несколько проблем в GoToSocial и одном веб-клиенте для него и Mastodon.
Так что может lor.sh летом и закроется, но тем самым даст некоторый толчок нашей федеративной экосистеме стать лучше.
Так что налейте мне полстакана да выпьем за лорш и людей, которые там собрались 
I feel like alot of the despair I feel as an aspiring artist is from the disharmony between the statement of intent, "I want to make art", when really the true feeling is "I want to have had made art".
It's not that I might "trust the process", it's "the art is the process". Or "the map is not the territory" vis à vis "the artifact is not the art".
Hard not to be cynical when stupidity is so cyclical.
I told my wife that my understanding of Zen is that it's basically just realizing you're one with the universe. She suggested that it's like _The Secret_, that when you're enlightened you can manifest things with your mind.
I replied that it's actually the opposite. The secret is an extreme form of "grasping". That if you try and try and believe hard enough, you can make something happen. Zen is like, everything is going to happen or not happen, that's it.
I'd like to tell you
What I really think
And in my mind
