'Tis the season and all that. Time for mince pies!
Deep filled, buttery shortcrust pastry case, crumbly and dusted with sugar with a fragrant mix of dried fruits, aromatic spices. From its humble beginnings as a savory Christmas pie centuries ago, the modern mince pie has transformed into a beloved sweet treat.
Had a fun time out at an English Afternoon Tea party with some friends. It was a delightful menu full of tasty treats and plenty of wonderfully flavorful tea!

Much yumminess ...
@srfirehorseart I am not at home at the moment and have run out of PG Tips so have had to resort to PG Tips decaffeinated..............noticably different taste from normal, brewed for the same amout of time and with leche sin lactose as they say here.
How do you take your tea?
Mine is PG-Tips (black tea) this morning, as I've run out of Clipper tea. I'm having mine with soya milk.
In the Netherlands and Germany I've had black tea with no milk, as that's how they usually serve it. In France and Spain I've drunk coffee with milk instead, as their coffee was generally better than tea.
