And the rabbinic intern filling in during our rabbi's sabbatical wrote and performed a letter from Esau to Jacob, written at the behest of Esau's therapist (who was named Deborah) that was fucking incredible and needs to be published so you can all read it. (My spouse cried.)My heart is full, but I am dead on my feet. Colin Rosenthal ❤️🇮🇱❤️What an odd weekend it was to find myself in <a href="https://babka.social/tags/synagogue" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#synagogue</a> <a href="https://babka.social/tags/shul" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#shul</a> for the first time in many years - celebrating my great niece's batmitzvah, worrying about the health of my hospitalised mother, the intensity of grief and anxiety following the Hamas pogrom, and just to add a little spice to it, yahrzeit for my father - which, as it was a Reform synagogue, meant that I actually got to say Kaddish together with my sisters for the first time.
