So Jump Desktop is actually causing us some headaches the last few weeks, but in the process of reading up on their releases I learn: they finally have a phone solution: use a web browser. yay!

By the way, After Effects 25.2 was just released with honestly one of the biggest features – High Performance Preview Playback.
It takes advantage of how fast modern SSDs are and combines the Disk Cache with RAM Preview so you can reliably play back your whole comp even if it doesn't all fit into RAM!

Premiere Pro 25.2 is out today! It's a big release, with a major new feature I'm very proud of.
Pr now semantically analyzes the content of your video (all on-device), and with the new Search panel you can search for the shot you need with natural language. It's so awesome to be able to find that one shot in a second instead of hunting through bins and skimming stringouts.

I have just been informed that “The Publishers”, a documentary TV series about the link between the printed press and the executive power in Israel, and my latest work as #colorist and #online editor, have raffled all technical academic awards. (Emmy Prime Time equivalent)
So proud!
There’s no award for colorist but the DOP got the cinematography award, so 
test export of the same timeline to a 720P H265 in "native" Avid versus emulated is about 20% faster, maybe 30 (9 mins vs 6:50). So a nice little bump but it confirms that Intel emulation is extraordinary.

Am I the only one thinking that the #Apple Silicon family is deeply confusing?
They introduced new Mac Studios today with M4 Max and M3 Ultra chips. One could think that the M4 Max is the fastest and best Mac because the M4 is the newest chip but no, it's the one with the M3 Ultra.
And no update to the Mac Pro line which is basicly just a Studio with a chassis...
Go figure... 
Paul Rogers' acceptance speech for his 2023 Best Film Editing Oscar win is still one of my favorites of all time. His last thought is basically what the work’s all about: you hope you did right by it and everyone involved.
