My short story is:
1) I noticed a toot about #Pixelix (Instagram-like open source project)
2) After some research, I found that the app is written in pure :kotlin: and uses good architecture practices
3) It took me a few days to run it on iOS
4) I contacted developers and asked if they were interesting to port the app to iOS
5) Now the app was approved and released on the App Store! (the app is open source and paid because it is a kinda donations)

For now #Pixelix is only available on Android.
The stores are linked on the Github page: github.com/daniebeler/pixelix

It is available for 2€ on Google Play Store and available for free on F-Droid.

But you can still support the project by donating a few bucks if you got the app for free (Liberapay and BuyMeACoffee are linked on the Github page too)

@dansup @dansup@pixelfed.social @pixelfed I noticed when I try to share photos directly out of my Gallery app (Fossify) from my AOSP 15 phone, that out of the 4 Pixelfed compatible client apps I have installed, Pixeldroid and Fedilab come out as available options to upload with, but the official Pixelfed app (as well as Pixelix) do not. Anyway to fix this for the official app?
