Cathy Outlet<p>Here’s a shower curtain featuring my <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/sturgeon" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>sturgeon</span></a> <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/paddlefish" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>paddlefish</span></a> and <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/sturddlefish" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>sturddlefish</span></a> designs as one of my final <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/artadventcalender" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>artadventcalender</span></a> posts. My parents ordered this from Redbubble a while back and it’s probably still the only one of its kind.</p>

Richard Rathe<p>Go Paddlefish!!</p><p>"Many native fish are also captured and surveyed (all native fish are released), including 46 <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Paddlefish" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Paddlefish</span></a> at one site in April 2022. The high abundance of native fish indicates the effectiveness of the method at catching fish, and is also a positive indicator of the health of these native fisheries."</p><p><a href="https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/invasives/ais/invasive-carp-modified-unified-method.html" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">dnr.state.mn.us/invasives/ais/</span><span class="invisible">invasive-carp-modified-unified-method.html</span></a></p><p><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Mississippi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mississippi</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/MississippiRiver" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MississippiRiver</span></a></p>

Cathy Outlet<p>And here we have the unlikely <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/sturddlefish" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>sturddlefish</span></a> progenitors - the Russian <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/sturgeon" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>sturgeon</span></a>, Acipenser gueldenstaedtii and the American <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/paddlefish" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>paddlefish</span></a>, Polyodon spathula. </p><p>What is notable about these two lovely species is that they happened to diverge over 180 million years ago!</p><p>For reference, human beings and mice last shared a common ancestor around 90 million years ago.</p>
