Taste of Minnesota is back in Minneapolis this summer, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts are headlining. Definitely going to see them.
Last time I was at Taste of Minnesota, a long time ago, I saw Blondie perform during a thunderstorm, and Debbie Harry brought Chubby Checker onstage. It was wild.
A favorite weird movie that was made in #Minnesota - and even produced by Ethan Coen! - was 1999's "The Naked Man," starring Michael Rapaport as a chiropractor by day, pro wrestler by night. His wrestling persona was "Naked Man" where he wore a body suit with internal human organs printed on it.
A former roommate of mine - and women's hockey player - was in a crowd scene during one of the wrestling matches. #MNastodon

А якщо відійти від пустої філософії, то в мене майже закінчуються фото з тестових плівок. А довідзнімати нові нема коли - сесія наближається. Скоро вже нічого буде постити. Треба все ж таки буде наробити собі плівок кадрів на 12, може швидше трошки справа піде.

UA: Останні три роки я спостерігаю цей вид з вікна університету. Іноді небоскреби зникають у тумані, іноді - в сніговій мряці. Бувають дні з кришталево прозорим небом і вечори, коли місто виглядає майже гостинно.
Залишився ще місяць - і далі суцільна невідомість. Колись я думала, що випуск принесе мені щось на кшталт ейфорії: впевненість у собі, натхнення, нові мрії. А зараз - закінчу і добре. Може, хоч висплюся.

Fixed my front gearing. Part on the post had slipped down enough to cause random shifting problems. They also switched out a really gunky rear shifter cable. Made it wonderful coming home. Good work, definitely going back.
Yesterday I saw my first green grass of the season here.
Rushford Episcopal church. Made by Lewis Pinkney, a former slave and master stone mason who built several similar buildings here in Rushford, Minnesota to help out the George and Harriett Stevens family, abolitionists who have a street here named after them.
Finally felt a bit better and bicycled 20.5 Kilometers to Peterson and back. Still had to stop to blow my nose a lot. But worth it on a sunshine day that wasn't too cold.
UA: У Міннеаполісі та Сент-Полі можна гуляти взимку, не виходячи на вулицю. Тут є система скайвеїв - скляних переходів між будівлями, на другому поверсі. Колись вони здавалися футуристичними, тепер, радше залишком минулого. Зручно, але трохи дивно. Наче місто побудоване не для людей, а для того, щоб уникати погоди і одне одного.

I have been looking for a local coffee shop that stocks this flavor of syrup for so long. On a whim, I stopped by Sunshine Coffee Co. in Lake Elmo, where apparently they roast their own beans! What a fun find! #MNastodon
