Lichess /Feed<p>GM <a href="https://lichess.org/fide/24651516/Bluebaum_Matthias" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Matthias Blübaum</a> is the new <a href="https://lichess.org/broadcast/european-championship-2025/round-11/RZ5DLZ3X" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">European Chess Champion</a> and now the only player to have won the title <a href="https://lichess.org/broadcast/european-individual-chess-championship-2022/round-10/BxzwtOm5" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">twice</a>! He finished with 8.5/11 points, just like GM <a href="https://lichess.org/fide/12923044/Svane_Frederik" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Frederik Svane</a> in 2nd place and GM <a href="https://lichess.org/fide/2806851/Rodshtein_Maxim" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Maxim Rodhstein</a> in 3rd place, but had the better tiebreak scores. The top 20 players who weren't <a href="https://lichess.org/broadcast/european-individual-chess-championship-2024--boards-1-64/NW5YDA3r" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">already qualified</a> have secured a spot in the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chess_World_Cup" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">FIDE World Cup</a>.</p>

I am three months in now and particularly enjoy the tactical puzzles on <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/lichess" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>lichess</span></a> Even set up a monthly donation there as I use it so much. <br>I have a good chess computer and an electronic board for Over The Board gaming. I like its easy to use surface in the app and at the webpage and its large user base. And it's profit free.</p><p>Hoping lichess will make better accessible <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Chess960" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Chess960</span></a> and so create more <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/FreestyleChess" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FreestyleChess</span></a> users.
