Mais la recherche en sciences dure seulement. Et même, plus précisément : « celles qui s'appuient sur de l'instrumentation de haut niveau ». C'est-à-dire celles qui font fonctionner l'économie dans leur existence même (achat de gros équipements). La recherche n'est plus vue comme une pure production de connaissance mais assumée comme unique moteur du capitalisme... Dans ce cadre « les grands enjeux internationaux » ne sont pas, par exemple, la catastrophe écologique, mais bel et bien la croissance économique.
