I wonder if anyone can help explain to me what was happening in this puddle in my garden?
Some kind of water skippers, possibly a moth (?) and those green-y yellow things.
What were they? And what was trying to consume what else? Looks so fucking hectic in there!
Sorry for the terrible quality, obviously, the things were very small, my phone is relatively cheap and my hand is only so steady. The focus improves from where it is at the start.

Funny, I was getting an error that I wasn't able to decipher from my own {nasapower} package. I found a SO thread about the same message from last year, <https://stackoverflow.com/questions/78416035/issue-with-nasapower-r-library>. That really didn't help me debug it, but it was the top hit when I searched and it tells me others have had the same problem but no one opened an Issue.
I've since fixed it and pushed an update so the error message works as intended now, <https://github.com/ropensci/nasapower/commit/6ca81d64ca8dabd4308926fc41d6ab88d2a9c8ab>. Releasing to CRAN shortly.

Not sure what the black fly is exactly, could be a mosquito, could be a kind of midge.

19/04/2025 - We were heading for a hill but the first stop was so nice we stayed. A slow stroll in Aberdeenshire, looking at lovely stuff. Saw my first swallow this year. Tall trees, nice bugs and wonderful flowers and fungi.
Pick of the day was Tongues of Fire (last photo). A really interesting fungus. Here on its primary host, Juniper. It releases spores from its orange spore tubes, which ride the wind to find its secondary host, Hawthorn, then back to Juniper.
Wanted to delete an old Mastodon account (the one I moved away from) from Fedilab and accidentally switched to it. Now it shows loading animation forever and nothing works in the Fedilab, including the menu, so I cannot switch back. After a while Android says it’s not responding… Oops 
For anyone on mastodon.social, be aware that mutuals are currently showing as followed only, this is on the hover over cards, the "following" list on your profile, and on the mutuals profile pages. None are shown as mutuals. As far as I can tell, the only place it shows the correct information is on the "Follows and followers" section of your "edit profile" section. This may cause problems. I have written up a workaround on creating #Brevo templates in bulk that later allow use of their drag&drop editor. If you use their API to create templates instead, they only offer inferior rich text/HTML editors. Hijack their web admin requests and use cURL instead:
