Every eye in the room clung to her with an unsettling viscosity. The moment she entered she could almost feel the saliva dripping down her neck. She forced herself forward, looking only to the throne. Her throne. The seat from which she would rule this nest of vipers. The hall was suffocated by silence as she took her place at its head. She knew all of them wanted nothing more than to devour her. It thrilled her to know that none of them would ever have the chance.
