This is one of the last "Where the hell is Dineky Creek" bumper stickers in existence that hasn't been stuck onto something yet. I hope that the #DinkeyCreek store orders more someday but they've gotten a bit more family friendly the last few years so this could be one of the last available unless someone makes some #bootleg #bumperStickers of the slogan.

It will eventually go on a camper I'm planning to build.

#DOGE staffer’s #YouTube nickname accidentally revealed his teen #hacking activity

A #SpaceX and X engineer, Christopher Stanley—currently serving as a senior advisor in the Deputy Attorney General's office at the Dept of Justice ( #DOJ )—was reportedly caught bragging about hacking & distributing pirated e-books, #bootleg software, & game cheats.

The boasts appeared on archived versions of websites, of which several, once flagged, were quickly deleted

David Bowie, The Lost Sessions, Vol 1, 2020 on Parachute Recording Company

Another Parachute Recording Company release, which collects radio broadcasts subject to different copyrights in the EU.

In this case, that includes appearances Bowie made on:

  • Radio Caroline 1966
  • Top Gear, December 18th, 1967
  • DLT Show, October 20th, 1969
  • The Sunday Show, Feb 5th, 1970
  • Sounds of the Seventies, March 25th, 1970

As is not uncommon with bootlegs, some tracks are misidentified / mislabelled: C14 is not Janine but the 4:42 version of “The Width of a Circle,” and C15 is not “The Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud” by is actually “Janine.”

These same recordings appeared on an earlier CD bootleg titled The Lost Sessions (Rare Radio Recordings) on Leftfield Media, from whom the LP’s tracks are said be licensed.

I can’t bypass any Bowie bootlegs – audio quality here is mixed, so perhaps only for the truly devoted. My copy via Waterloo Records in Austin TX

New boot! Because I wanted all the original #AeonFlux Liquid Television shorts all in one collection.

I actually prefer the shorts over the TV show. Just in my opinion, I loved all the mystery surrounding the characters and their strange dystopian world. I think the show maybe revealed too much? What do you think?

David Bowie, Unplugged & Slightly Phased: Acoustic Broadcasts 1996, 2021 on Parachute Recording Company

Basically a live bootleg, this collects Bowie’s appearances at the October 1996 Bridge School Benefit. Parachute Recording Company labels these things as radio transmissions based on the difference in copyright law regarding things broadcast in the UK (and maybe the EU?).

It was previously released as a bootleg under multiple names by different labels – this version was released in 2021, and says it is under license from Leftfield Media, which (as per Discogs) “Issues semi legal releases using a hole in the European copyright laws concerning recorded public broadcasts.”

My copy via Waterloo Records in Austin TX – it’s a nice clean 2xLP pressing (from GZ Media) and sounds pretty good for an unauthorized bootleg – you could believe this could have been broadcast.

Fleetwood Mac, In London [1968], 2010 on Lilith

This is a bootleg that’s been released under a number of names – originally “London Live ’68” on Thunderbolt records. It was recorded at the Polytechnic of Central London, April 27th, 1968 – just a few months after their debut album.

Lineup here is Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer, Mick Fleetwood, and John McVie. It’s not the greatest sound recording (as expected) but does give you a sense of what it would have been like to be in that room for the very beginnings of the British Blues version of Fleetwood Mac.

My copy via Electric Fetus in Minneapolis MN
