is the negotiation master

which greatly enhances
his deal making prowess

Though those on the other side
don't appreciate the screws applied
so these displeased partners
will bide their time
and undermine the peace someday

the angry clamor
of a pressure washer

WE GOTTA DO SOMETHING!!

Really?

Sometimes
doing absolutely nothing
is the best worst option
that buys us time at least
for more thoughtful analysis

Even though the demands
to do something
to do anything
is immense

So very often
the "Do something" now
response plan
for the sake of doing activity
is a flawed program
with awful consequences

An oft neglected lesson
of past failure history
where our pressured
rush it up the flag pole intentions
made things much worse
than they were before

There my angel sits
through softly lit dim
alone at the far #end of the bar

I struggle to ascertain
if she's in the mood
for my company

If I offer her a libation
will she view me as a rude dude
with amorous intentions?

So out of respect for her
I shall defer my stab
at romantic advances

we struggle with daily
carries the seeds
of future catastrophe

If we can just take
a few steps back
and manage to see
the full landscape view
our future begins to make
big picture sense
sans distractions of proximity

It's these snarling beasts existing
on the margins of the periphery
in the shadows of anonymity
who feed on our ignorance
that ultimately
#ends up wrecking us
