sgt1372My <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/MedicalInsurance" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MedicalInsurance</a> just got switched from <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/UHC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#UHC</a> to <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/BlueShieldCA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#BlueShieldCA</a> effective Jan 1, 2025.Just got a medical bill from <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/UCSF" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#UCSF</a> for an <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/ultrasound" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ultrasound</a> for $425 out of $530 which was done in Dec 2024 when I was still covered by UHC.This is the 1st supplemental <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/MedicalBill" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MedicalBill</a> that I've ever received in the over 10 years that I was covered by UHC. UHC previously fully covered all surgeries & other procedures, including another ultrasound, without any additional cost to me.I can afford it. So that's not the issue.But I just can't help but think that UHC deliberately understated the amount of coverage because they knew that my coverage with them was being terminated by my retirement board.Can't prove it but that's what I think. 😡
