The Tilikum Crossing bridge at the far point of my bike ride to downtown #Portland yesterday is named for a #PNW indigenous term translating to "The Bridge of the People". It's reportedly the largest car-free bridge in the USA, used for #transit (MAX light rail, streetcar and 4 bus lines), #cycling and pedestrian traffic. The bridge will celebrate its 10th anniversary in September along with the MAX light rail Orange Line it was built for. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tilikum_

Aerial Rapid Transit ("gondolas") works in select places for point-to-point service. We can see examples of successful ART lines in Mexico City, Barcelona, and La Paz. One is being proposed for Irvine, another to connect Union Station with Dodger Stadium.

@Wen Again: That'll rather make one more suspicious as they have bulk access to all data ever posted on #AntisocialMedia owned by #US corporations.

  • Either one is completely not using any of those (and not using #NSAbook is deemed suspicious!) or better yet doesn't enter the #USA at all.

Same restrictions apply for people in #transit or even partially entering #US #airspace!

  • TLDR: STAY AWAY FROM THE USA CUZ IT'S LIKE #NorthKorea RIGHT NOW, IF NOT WORSE FOR TOURISTS!

On my ride in downtown Portland, this was my first time riding across the Tillikum Crossing bridge, which is exclusively for #transit, bikes and pedestrians. Also in the last picture is the USS Blueback submarine, on public display in the Willamette River at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). #Portland #cycling #PNW
