Baltimore<p>La diferencia entre quedarse corto y caer en el exceso puede ser la misma que entre mojarse y ser equidistante: intentarlo o dejarlo estar.</p><p>El pasado año, Glazer fue valiente y desde su arte, y desde las tribunas que pisó, denunció la hipocresía que gastamos. Quiso incomodarnos para rescatarnos, su precio habrá pagado.</p><p>Estrenó, como cineasta, La zona de interés, el dieciochenta filme del holocausto. Este, al menos, de autor.</p><p>Glazer pare una película de premio: el que obtiene quien llega al final: vergüenza. Porque puede ser costoso terminarla por el abuso del -bien usado- lenguaje visual, de más peso narrativo que los diálogos.</p><p>Esa familia nazi con desvelos 'primermundistas' mientras incinera a personas al lado nos apuñala con alfileres. Pica porque son los dueños del invernadero alojando en chozas a migrantes para darnos verdura aun fuera de temporada. Anita Byrne<p>If you haven’t already seen it I urge everyone to watch <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/TheZoneOfInterest" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TheZoneOfInterest</span></a> </p><p>It’s an absolutely excellent portrayal of the Nazis. </p><p>You see their every day lives as they live alongside concentration camps where they did horrendous and evil things to their fellow humans. </p><p>The extraordinary thing about the film is how it also shows Nazis as humans. Because that’s what they are. Humans who do terrible things. </p><p>We all have the capacity to become racists or fascists. Because they’re human traits.</p>

Rather harrowing, which is exactly what I expected, but it still caught me off guard somehow. </p><p>A great reminder of how there are many people who are capable of ignoring atrocities for their own benefit and/or out of convenience.
