We are not enjoying Super Mario Advance as much as the Super Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros 2. The lower resolution makes it harder to see things from being zoomed in. The physics feel wrong as well.

We do like that they added more collectibles and mushrooms, but they also added so many opportunities to get health, so it's really hard to die outside of falling in a hole.

The couple of new bosses were a nice treat, though. If the new features were ported into the SNES version of this game, it might be perfect.

Disregarding the Doki Doki Panic origins for brevity's sake, Mario and company save a land of the subconscious from a frog king. Luigi learns to jump high (just like in the actual Mario 2) Toad does powerlifting and cardio. Peach can float for some reason.

Your environment is your ammunition. Just grab something from the ground and throw it.
