I love to use #phanpy for my #GoToSocial instance so decided I should try hosting it myself instead of constantly relying on the phanpy.social. This is my first post from my #selfhosted Phanpy site, with hopefully many more to follow

I just built and updated https://phanpy.hear-me.social, the alternative Mastodon UI (also can be used with other Fediverse applications like #Pixelfed and #Friendica). You can be logged into more than one application and switch between them.
If you aren't using #Phanpy instead of the standard Mastodon UI, then it's probably because you haven't tried using Phanpy.

@cheeaun Are you going to demo the lastest and greatest features of #Phanpy at #Fediforum? I think you are continuing to set the bar for federated UX and think the crowd there will love it.

Hey Mastodon and especially #rstats folks, what Mastodon web/iOS clients are you using? @materov, any thoughts?
For a couple of days, I have been using #phanpy in the web — it's not too bad, pretty responsive, and I like the boost carousel, which helps declutter the main feed. But I am looking for other alternatives, especially for handheld devices.

überarbeitet und aktualisiert.
Meine beiden Identitäten habe ich jetzt geringfügig in
1) Matteo (Mastodon)
und
2) Matteo (MiniBlog)
umbenannt.
Ich finde, das macht die unterschiedlichen Zweckbestimmungen auf den ersten Blick besser verständlich, insbesondere was die primitive, Leser-interaktive Blog-Funktion betrifft.
Außerdem werkel ich noch an einer dritten Funktion, Matteo (NostrChat), zum Austausch einfacher, anonymer, verschlüsselter Direkt-Nachrichten. Mastodon kann im Augenblick bekanntlich ja leider keine automatische Verschlüsselung. Wäre dann eine perfekte Ergänzung!

@sharan My guess is that enough open-source, free apps will be created in lieu of for-profit apps. #Phanpy is a nice example of this. I don't blame for-profit entities for moving away if they can't find profit in the #Fediverse. Many of us still stay on #Mastodon because of principles, and we're ok that it's a smaller community than #Bluesky.
Ich muss ja echt sagen das ich von #Phanpy also Öberfläche für meinen #GoToSocial Server immer noch echt begeistert bin. Läuft auch super als PWA auf dem iPhone und reicht für meine Bedürfnisse komplett aus so das ich keine seperate App mehr nutze.

@hello @gotosocial Looks like it is an issue with #GoToSocial and some android apps. @moshidon and @Tusky don't offer the translate option on my #GtS instance. #fedilab does. #elk and #phanpy work too.
just noticed a neat #phanpy feature where it alerts you that you're replying to an old post
