I also like it because the program is more tightly scripted &amp; better organized than other award shows like the <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Oscars" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Oscars</span></a> &amp; <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/GoldenGlobes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GoldenGlobes</span></a>.</p><p>MFGU winners often differ than those given for the Oscars &amp; Golden Globes &amp; this year I was pleased that they gave the <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/BestSupportingMovieActress" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BestSupportingMovieActress</span></a> award to <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/SF" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SF</span></a>'s <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/JoanChen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>JoanChen</span></a> for her performance in <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Didi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Didi</span></a> (the independent film about a <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/ChineseAmerican" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ChineseAmerican</span></a> boy in Fremont in the 80's) produced &amp; directed by <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/SeanWang" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SeanWang</span></a> who's work was recognized at <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Sundance" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Sundance</span></a>. </p><p><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dìdi" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dìdi</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p>Saw Didi at the Elmwood in Berkeley, just received the <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/DVD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DVD</span></a>. Don't know if it's available to be streamed yet but, if it sounds like something you'd like to see, stream it if you can.</p>
