#FiberGoals update: 5 minutes or more of #FiberArts 24/31 days, better than I expected. Made a couple of hexiflats including handspun ones. Made some progress on the washcloth for my dad (plus giving him an already completed one). The main thing is the regular fiberarts work, which was mostly spinning with the supported spindles but also some spinning on my wheel and some plying. Very little actual knitting. Finish my first handspun project, the Musselburgh hat in progress. Make at least 1 and probably 2 washcloths for my dad, who never requests anything. (1/2)

My open palm with two strands of yarn draped over it. The white strand is thread-thin, while the purple strand is fingering (or sock) weight, which is many times thicker (but is still considered a very light weight yarn).

Yes, we do laugh at "fingering weight."

I may have ordered a 1.1 pound cone of lace weight yarn from Scotland. #knitting #crochet #yarn

A cone of white, thread-like yarn, it's about 6 inches tall. The top has a diameter of about 4.75 inches and the bottom diameter is about 5.5 inches, but this is because the cardboard core (not pictured) is also tapered.

Continuing a baby blanket for a family friend.

My usual blanket pattern is a monogrammed blanket out of Erika Knight's "Simple Knits for Cherished Babies" and my usual yarn is Knit Picks Shine Worsted in a pink color called "Blush".

I have completed 60 rows, and then it will be about 40 more rows before I start to purl in the Monogram.

A stockinette blanket with garter edges being worked on a chiaogoo red lace circular needle. The yarn is a soft pink and a deflated skein leads into one corner of the blanket. There is a yarn wrapper indicating the yarn is Knit Picks Shine Worsted in color Blush.

For my Wavy Stripes stole I ordered, and received a much longer circular needle. As you can see, the needle is now much less crowded

To weave in the ends in stocking stitch, work on the wrong side and follow the direction of the purl bumps. You do not need to move diagonally, just follow the direction of the yarn in a single row of knitting. Weave in approx 5-6 cm of yarn.

Finished! The 10 inch plate stretched it too much, I had to re-block with a smaller one. I think it might be a little small for me, I may give it away to someone with a smaller head.
