kelbot ◖⎚∠⎚◗<p>This is what our Muntingia Calabura (Jamaican Cherry, Panama Berry, Strawberry Tree...) looks like right now. There are probably at least 100 of these beautiful white flowers open, 100 more little buds getting ready to open and literally hundreds of fruits in varying stages. Tinker ☀️<p>Went out tonight with a guerrilla arborist and planted pawpaw seeds along various waterways!</p><p>Pawpaws are a local native deciduous fruit bearing tree. (<a href="https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asimina_triloba" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asimin</span><span class="invisible">a_triloba</span></a>) Not to be confused with papaya (also called pawpaws by some). These are green skinned fruits with yellow fruit inside. They taste kind of like sweet sticky melons with a hint of avocado? They taste amazing. </p><p>Their seeds are quite large and they require a period of freezing over winter so they'll germinate in spring. </p><p>This guerrilla arborist harvested seeds from last year, put them in a baggy with some sawdust and a little bit of water and chilled them in the fridge over the winter. KüchenabenteuerWenn man versucht sich über die Struktur oder den Aufbau eines "Waldgartens" (bzw. Food Forest) zu informieren, dann springen einen regelrecht die Personen an, die mindestens Permakultur, Selbstversorgung und was noch alles damit betreiben.<br> <br> Schön, aber für mich war das jetzt nicht so hilfreich. DoomsdaysCW<p>I needed to take a break from the doom and gloom, so I eyed spots in the yard for more wildflowers, a mini food forest, and a spot for three sisters (and sunflowers). I had good luck growing some beans in hanging planters (where the vines can climb), so I'll be doing that again, as well as growing greens, onions, sun gold tomatoes and red potatoes in containers.
