Heather<p><a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/EfM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EfM</span></a> starts tonight!!! What have I been doing today? I watched Pump Up The Volume (starring Christian Slater) and now I'm listening to Sonic Youth... Heather<p>So even though my new teddy bear, Brother Adrian, is clearly Franciscan... And I love St. Francis. I actually feel more at home with Jesuit teaching and practices. <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/FindingGodInAllThings" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FindingGodInAllThings</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/TheGlimpsing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TheGlimpsing</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/TheWholeThingIsATemple" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TheWholeThingIsATemple</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/Episcopal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Episcopal</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/Episcopalian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Episcopalian</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/Episcopunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Episcopunk</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/EfM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EfM</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/EducationForMinistry" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EducationForMinistry</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/Heretic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Heretic</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/ThisWorldNeedsMoreBears" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ThisWorldNeedsMoreBears</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/LifeIsBetterWithATeddyBear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LifeIsBetterWithATeddyBear</span></a></p>
Heather<p>Hello everyone!! Please meet my new friend, sent to me by a friend in the UK, this is Brother Adrian.<br>I'm hoping he will be OK with going through EfM with me.<br><a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/Episcopal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Episcopal</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/Episcopalian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Episcopalian</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/Episcopunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Episcopunk</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/EfM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EfM</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/EducationForMinistry" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EducationForMinistry</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/Heretic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Heretic</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/ThisWorldNeedsMoreBears" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ThisWorldNeedsMoreBears</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/LifeIsBetterWithATeddyBear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LifeIsBetterWithATeddyBear</span></a><br><a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/Universalist" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Universalist</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/TheWholeThingIsATemple" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TheWholeThingIsATemple</span></a></p>
Heather (she/her)<p>Tonight at <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/EfM" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>EfM</span></a>, it was my first time doing devotions for the group. I read a selection from Sarah Bessey from the book, <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/RhythmOfPrayer" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RhythmOfPrayer</span></a>, and I have already tagged 3 or 4 other entries in the book for future devotions. I really, really love this book. <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/EducationForMinistry" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>EducationForMinistry</span></a> <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/Episcopal" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Episcopal</span></a> <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/Episcopalian" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Episcopalian</span></a> <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/Episcopunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Episcopunk</span></a> <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/SarahBessey" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>SarahBessey</span></a></p>
Heather (she/her)<p>Can someone please help me understand <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/EfM" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>EfM</span></a> &#39;s Theological Reflections? I&#39;ve only been present to see them done in group twice... But so far I am really lost about the whole process and it&#39;s purpose. I need to go back and read my RRG.<br />Is it always done as one person kinda leading the rest of the members through a discussion? Like crowdsourcing responses for each stage of the TR?<br />I am so lost.<br /><a href="https://ohai.social/tags/EducationForMinistry" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>EducationForMinistry</span></a> <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/Episcopal" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Episcopal</span></a> <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/Episcopalian" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Episcopalian</span></a> <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/Episcopunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Episcopunk</span></a></p>
Heather<p><a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/EfM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EfM</span></a> requires quite a bit of reading and I generally struggle a bit to get through it, but this week has been the most challenging so far. All of Leviticus and Numbers and a chapter in Collins. A) that's a lot but B) these are some of the most tedious bits to read through... <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/EducationForMinistry" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EducationForMinistry</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/Episcopal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Episcopal</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/Episcopalian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Episcopalian</span></a> <a href="https://episcodon.net/tags/Episcopunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Episcopunk</span></a></p>
Heather (she/her)<p>So, I may or may not have bought a different Bible translation to assist me in my <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/EfM" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>EfM</span></a> study. I&#39;ve been using the <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/NRSVue" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NRSVue</span></a> because that seems to be what my church uses. But at times, it&#39;s very clunky and wordy. And my current EfM assignment is Leviticus and Numbers, which are a bit tedious and dry. So my priest recommended that I try the <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/CEB" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>CEB</span></a> and that seems to be smoother and more natural sounding. <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/Episcopal" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Episcopal</span></a> <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/Episcopalian" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Episcopalian</span></a> <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/EducationForMinistry" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>EducationForMinistry</span></a></p>
Heather (she/her)<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.world/@trellisjumper" class="u-url mention">@<span>trellisjumper</span></a></span> That&#39;s great!! I was confirmed about four years ago, but we took a long break from in person attending after Covid hit. Now I am doing <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/EfM" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>EfM</span></a>, or <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/EducationForMinistry" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>EducationForMinistry</span></a>.</p>
