Saskatoon serviceberry (Amelanchier alnifolia). It might be the variety Regent. This plant was planted 30 years ago.
No Damsel post yesterday; I had other priorities. So today I'm posting Days 4 and 5, side by side. You can see how pink, originally just a tinge on the outer petals, dominates as the flower ages.
The aphids are not gone, but are under control.
I had to cross a couple of skewers to prop the flower up, as it was nosing down and the weight was pulling the Damsel sideways. I am considering adding permanent supports to brace her.
One of the pansy seeds planted last year grew. Looks like there's others too if they're not johnny jump ups.
Irises and checkerblooms, irises and poppies, and a cobwebby thistle, clockwise from left, yesterday on the Tomales Point Trail at Point Reyes.
Cobbywebbies weren't blooming yet, so I'll have to go back and walk the 4.5 miles again in a couple of weeks. Darn.
Favorite place to be this time of year is under my two Prunus serrulata aka flowering cherry trees. They form a ridiculously pink canopy that attracts bees, birds, bugs… #bloomscrolling
Rainy day last? of the cherry blossoms near work as head to class.

The shamrock may have worked. I survived today better than usual Mondays. Typical hot GA 'spring' when actually it is summer already. #Mondog greetings to all good souls for a nice week.
Afternoon garden — lilac, lunaria and vinca, cliff fendlerbush (false mock orange), and more lilac.
Happy #bloomscrolling y'all.
A few shots from today's walk; I made the trek out to a #blooming pink tree I normally only see at a distance. It was definitely worth the stroll.
